COLLEEN DREW
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Colleen Alison Drew (nee Johnson), who passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on March 22, 2026, at the age of 67.
Colleen was born on July 25, 1958, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Roy and Betty Johnson, her sister, Joan, and her brother, Kenny. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Luke, Jesse, Lexus and her cherished grandchildren, Madeline and Harrison, who brought her immense pride and joy. Colleen will always be missed and lovingly remembered by her sister Susan, sister-in-law Joanne, brother-in-law Gerry, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Colleen was a very strong, talented, hard worker who faced life with resilience and determination. She was known for her amazing spirit which carried her through life's challenges, and for her selfless nature. Colleen always put the needs and love of her family and friends before her own.
Colleen had an extensive and rewarding career at Winnipeg Photo, CNIB and as a payroll manager for Manitoba Hydro. She also taught payroll courses at Red River College, and after retirement, had several payroll contracts. She loved her home and took pride in making it a special place for families and friends to get together. Colleen loved having wonderful family dinners for all occasions and always made them special. Her love of gardening and flowers kept her busy transforming her outdoor space to be special and beautiful, and she held many amazing gatherings there.
Colleen was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who loved deeply and unconditionally. Her strength, love and unwavering support will be remembered by all who knew her. Not a day goes by that you are not loved and missed. A family Celebration of Life will be held later in the summer.
